ADOPT A DOG FROM UKRAINE

GIVE A HOME TO ONE OF THE DOGS IN OUR CARE

Adopting an animal from our shelter is a significant way to support our mission. By welcoming a loving dog or cat into your home, you not only provide them with a caring environment but also open up a space for another animal in need.

We have a variety of animals with diverse needs and personalities that are searching for their forever homes. Our main goal is to match them with the most suitable homes, and we are committed to being transparent and honest in our application process.

At this time, we are limited to adopting animals to the UK and select countries in Europe due to transportation and funding constraints.

ALFIE

– Male, 2 years old –

My name is Alfie and I am a mixed breed dog.

I am energetic and love playing with both humans and other dogs. I have made lots of friends at the shelter and we will spend the day chasing each other around. I am known as the cheeky one.

I’m very intelligent and know basic commands. I would love to find a family that could teach me more and give me plenty of stimulation.

When I’m relaxing, I love nothing more than a cuddle and am a very loving and affectionate boy.

It would be great if I went to a family that already had a four-legged friend that I could play with.

SVETA

– Female, 7 years old –

My name is Sveta and I am a Central Asian Shepherd, or sometimes known as an Alabai.

I live life in the slow lane and am quite happy doing my own thing. I love to be outside, no matter the weather, but particularly love sunny days where I’ll find a spot and sleep. I walk well on the lead and love to explore.

I do not like being alone for long periods of time, so therefore would need my new family to be around often. I am a gentle giant and especially love a belly rub and being groomed. I can be a little territorial and protective of those that I love, and as I am a large breed, I am looking for an experienced owner that is confident and firm with my handling.

I am dog selective, I share my space with other dogs and see them out on walks which I don’t mind. I mostly ignore them but sometimes I will take a disliking to one or two. I am looking to go to a home where I would be the only dog.

I am a loyal companion and looking for a home that I can laze around in and get spoiled with fuss.

UTAH

My name is Utah and I am a German shepherd.

The humans at the shelter tell me that I am a beautiful girl, that is highly intelligent but also a bit goofy. I am always making them laugh.

I enjoy going for long walks in the countryside and swimming in the lake is my favourite thing to do. I also like to play fetch! I need a family that will be able to keep up with my high energy and give me the stimulation that I need.

I am quite strong on the lead but I am currently being taught not to pull. Sometimes when I see another dog I will bark at them but when I’m playing in a secure area, I am well socialised and get on with most dogs.

When I’m chilling out I love nothing more than being close to my humans. I’m a big softie that enjoys a cuddle and a groom.

I’m an inquisitive little girl that likes to explore but can be mischievous and very good at climbing. It is important that my new family has a secure high-fenced garden that I can’t escape from. Once I am settled in my environment, I will climb less.

I am a well socialised dog and have made many friends at the shelter but I can be quite dominant around other females. I would love to join a family that has a male four-legged friend.

I love nothing more than the attention of humans and enjoy laying on a lap for a cuddle.

CILLA

– Female, 2 years old –

My name is Cilla and I am a mixed breed dog.

I love to play with my friends at the shelter but sometimes I can be a little boisterous and dominant toward others. I know when I have pushed them too far though as I have a good sense of their feelings and I will always go back to nurture them. I can be very kind and caring.

I have taken a disliking to builders. I am not aggressive towards them but I will let them know that I find them strange by barking at them.

I’m a very clever girl and know basic commands. I would love to go to a family that could teach me more and keep me stimulated with long walks and play time.

In return, when I’m feeling relaxed, I will shower with you cuddles.

CLARICE (left) & MIGGS (right)

– Female, 9 years old – Male, 9 years old –

We are Clarice and Miggs and we have not had the best start in life. We came from a background of abuse.

Due to our past, it’s important our new humans are patient with us until we know we can trust you. New people are a little scary but once we are comfortable you will see that we are just like any other dogs that want to love and be loved.

We have formed a very strong bond with each other and it is important that we remain together.

I, Clarice, am the more confident out of the two. Miggs is quite protective of me, and follows where I go and copies what I do. We don’t particularly like other dogs, just each other.

Once we are comfortable with you we love to go on walks and be stroked. Miggs has the best teefie smile when he is happy.

LOKI

– Male, 12 years old –

My name is Loki, I am mixed breed dog and one of the older boys at the shelter.

My history is unknown but when I arrived here I had serious face injuries, was diagnosed with hearing loss (not completely deaf) and my teeth had not been looked after.

My age and lack of hearing does not bother me though. I often think I’m a younger dog as I’m is still very happy and energetic.

I can be quite jumpy and mouthy when I’m playing but the humans at the shelter are working with me on this behaviour. I mostly just play this way with my best friend, Penny.

When I’m not being silly with Penny, I love to be around humans. I will seek you out, roll on my back and demand a belly rub and kiss.

I love to go on walks and walk well on the lead. I get on with most dogs but can be a bit grumpy toward a few – maybe that’s where my old age shows.

I have become particularly close with my best friend Penny. The humans at the shelter say we are the perfect match as I am partially deaf and she is partially blind, so we counteract each other. If we could find a family where we could be adopted together that would make us both very happy.

My name is Ebony and I am a metis dog.

I am a quiet girl that can be shy around new people but once I am comfortable with you, you will see that I am very friendly and loving.

Whilst I like being in the company of humans and receiving cuddles, I am quite low maintenance and do not crave attention. I’m quite happy sitting by myself and watching the world go by.

I enjoy spending time with other dogs and going for slow walks so that I can smell my surroundings. It is important for my new family to be aware that as I am overweight and have some health issues, I must not go on long hikes.

I am a very sweet and loving girl but need a lot of mental stimulation. When I am bored, I have a habit of jumping up on the walls.

I am my most happiest when I’m with a human, I love nothing more than being stroked and getting cuddles.

I have been socialised with other dogs here at the shelter but I am picky with those I like, I prefer to be in the company of males.

I enjoy going our for walks and I walk well on the lead but my new family should be made aware of my hip dysplasia which needs to monitored.

I’m highly intelligent and very trainable, so would love for someone to teach me more.

– Female, 7 years old –

My name is Gina and I am an Australian cattle dog cross breed.

I can be shy around new people so will need a bit of patience to start with. Once I am is comfortable, you will see that I am very sweet and gentle.

I lost my front leg in an accident and I struggle to walk sometimes. Because I don’t go on longs walks I have put on some weight which the humans at the shelter are trying to help me lose.

I do love being outside but need to take things slow with plenty of breaks if I get tired. I will need someone who is patient and understanding of my limitations.

I do get along with other dogs but I much prefer my own space. Energetic dogs can be a bit too much for me. I would either like to live in a home as the only dog or wouldn’t mind sharing with an older, more relaxed dog.

I have been socialised with dogs but sometimes I can be reactive toward a select few.

I have been known to get anxious in the past so will require an experienced owner who can recognise my behaviour and understand what to do when I am not feeling myself.

I am young and playful and can be quite boisterous. I like to jump up and give hugs but the humans at the shelter are working on this behaviour with me. Sometimes I don’t realise that I am a large dog.

I get on with some dogs, and will go on walks with them, but others I don’t like, so I would need a confident owner that knows how to handle me.

I love people and receiving lots of strokes and cuddles.

Before I was rescued, I came from a nasty person that wasn’t very kind. Despite of this I am trusting of humans and love getting attention and cuddles.

Sometimes if I am feeling scared, I can get a little defensive. I would need my new family to be patient with me.

I have an injury on my leg but it is slowly healing and gaining strength again.

I would need an owner that is understanding of my limitations and make sure that I don’t over stimulate myself.

SKYE

I am the shyest dog here at the shelter, it has taken a long time for me to adjust to my surroundings and I still get nervous around new people or those I haven’t spent much time with.

I get scared of thunder storms and any loud startling noises so I will need to find a home that has a calm and relaxing environment.

I need an experienced owner that is understanding of my behaviour and will give me patience, time and space for me to adjust.

Once I am comfortable and learn to trust you, you will see a different side to me. I am sweet, loving and loyal and can be very playful.

I enjoy the company of other dogs, they give me confidence.

– Male, 2 years old –

My name is Kimchi and I am a mixed breed dog.

I am a happy boy that likes to play with my friends at the shelter but I am also just as happy to do my own thing.

LULU

– Female, 5 years old –

My name is Lulu and I am a Dachshund mix dog.

I am a sweet little girl that loves human attention or snuggling up with my toys.

I have been socialised with many dogs at the shelter and have plenty of friends here, however some of the larger breeds intimidate me but I am courageous and not afraid to tell them off – quite typical of my breed.

I love going for short walks and I walk well on the lead, but mostly I enjoy laying in the sunshine or curling up on a lap.

I can be stubborn at times and if I do want time to myself, I will take myself away. My sassy attitude means that I would prefer to live in a home with older children or adults so that they can recognise when I need ‘my time’.

I am very loyal and would make a great addition to a family.
