Our Mission in Ukraine: 3 Years of Relentless Rescue and Relief

When the war in Ukraine began in February 2022, we knew we had to act fast. What we didn’t know then was just how deeply our mission would become rooted in this country—how Ukraine would grow to be the heart of our work and our longest-standing base of operations.

For over three years, we’ve worked in Ukraine, supporting both animals and people in some of the harshest and most unpredictable conditions imaginable. What began as emergency response has grown into long-term, life-saving efforts across the country.

Saving Lives, One Rescue at a Time

In the chaos of conflict, animals are often the forgotten victims. We’ve made it our mission to make sure they are not left behind. Since 2022, we have rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed hundreds of animals, giving them the second chance they deserve.

From war zones and abandoned shelters to devastated homes, our teams have extracted and relocated thousands of animals—including dogs, cats, lions, a bear, a wolf, horses, pigs, goats, and birds. No life is too small or too wild to save.

Building a Future Through Care

Our work hasn’t stopped at rescue. We’ve launched spay and neuter campaigns across affected regions to prevent future suffering and reduce stray populations in a humane and sustainable way.

We’ve also delivered tonnes of food, medical aid, and essential supplies to animals in shelters, on the streets, and in foster care networks, making sure that even those we haven’t met yet are not forgotten.

Standing With People in Crisis

But our mission goes beyond animals. We’ve stood alongside local communities, delivering aid to hundreds of people affected by war—providing food, hygiene supplies, clothing, and comfort during times of extreme hardship.

Across Ukraine, we’ve responded to calls for help with courage and compassion.

This Work is Only Possible Because of You

Every animal we’ve saved, every family we’ve helped, every life we’ve touched has been possible because of you. Your support has powered trucks full of food, enabled complex animal rescues, and kept us going even when the odds were against us.

We’ve come a long way since February 2022, but there is still more to do. Right now, our focus is on delivering food and supplies to animals and people in need across Ukraine, with an emphasis on street animals, under-resourced shelters, and independent rescuers.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
